Rapid Evaluation, Stabilization, and Treatment Center (REST)
Continuum of Care offers Connecticut's first of it's kind Rapid Evaluation, Stabilization, and Treatment Center (REST).
REST is a crisis stabilization and receiving program for adults with
mental health and substance use issues.
The program provides a central location for the COMPASS mobile crisis team and emergency services to bring individuals undergoing a crisis for further evaluation and stabilization, if the individual is not in need of emergency room care.
Our REST Program:
- Offers loungers and beds
- Accepts referrals from Police, Emergency Services, and Mobile Crisis
- Allows up to a 23 hour stay
- Ensures admission to the program is voluntary
REST Provides:
- Basic needs
- Brief medical assessment
- Psychiatric assessment
- Medical evaluation (for mental health)
- MAT induction
- Community referrals to detox and or substance use
- Access to additional supported living including non-congregate and crisis transitional beds
